Volunteers Needed for Fleet Week

Fleet Week 2010 is scheduled for Monday April 26 thru Sunday May 1, and we will need volunteers for the following venues:

All Hands On Deck
Seminole Hard Rock to meet sailors as they arrive and give drink tickets.

9:00 AM to 12:00 NOON, 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM and 7:00 PM.

Habitat for Humanity- Hospital and School Visits, MWR 8:00 AM

Thank You Letter from USMC

Here is a Letter of Appreciation I received this week from a Marine Corps Captain serving in Afghanistan.

The letter speaks for itself, but the real thank you should go to Alan and Shelley Stein of the Broward County Council-NLUS for putting this project together. They did the work, all we did was pay for some of the postage.

Free Admission for Military

I want to take this opportunity to invite you to the CA Championship at the Doral Golf Resort and Spa starting Wednesday, March 10th through Sunday, March 14th. [Click on the image at left to view the flyer at full size.]

I am reaching out to you because I have partnered with the South Florida Golf Foundation and Lockheed Martin as a sponsor of the Patriots Outpost Hospitality Pavilion.

This pavilion will serve complimentary food and beverages to all active, retired, and reserve military and dependents. In addition, all military with proper identification will receive free admission to the event.

Too often our military do not have the budget to afford the events showcased in Miami-Dade County. It is important that we all work together to reach out to as many military families as possible to participate in this event. I would greatly appreciate it if you would help me distribute this invitation to all our Military Men and Women.

BND Honored by USCG Air Station Miami

On Wednesday morning, August 19th, 2009, in a special formation, the U. S. COAST GUARD AIR STATION MIAMI recognized Broward Navy Days, Inc. with the reading of a LETTER OF APPRECIATION signed by the Commanding Officer of the Air Station, Captain Richard M. Kenin, USCG and the presentation of a very special Coast Guard Plaque.

Garry Murphy, Peter Caspari, Scott Lehr and Joe Millsaps represented our organization. Command Master Chief, AMTCM Miner Pedersen, USCG, represented the Coast Guard.

Operation Continuing Promise

COLON, Panama (May 30, 2009) -- U.S. Navy Chief Hospital Corpsman (FMF/SW/AW) Huey Beauchamp from Military Sealift Command hospital ship USNS Comfort (T-AH 20) helps pass out wheelchairs to Panamanian elderly women women at Roberto M. Bula Stadium here. Beauchamp is part of the Continuing Promise 2009 humanitarian and civic assistance mission that provides medical, dental, veterinary, and engineering support to seven countries in Latin America and the Caribbean.
